Founder's Story:
Over the past 19 years, I have sat beside patients on their very first day of dialysis, holding their hands, watching the fear in their eyes, and listening to the machine do the work their kidneys no longer could. I have guided families through the quiet dedication of peritoneal dialysis training, cheered on patients who chose the independence of home hemodialysis, and walked others toward the hope of a transplant. I have been there for some of the hardest moments of people's lives.
But the truth that changed everything for me, the truth I could not stop thinking about, is this: too many of those patients never had to arrive at that chair so soon. Too many came to dialysis without ever truly being taught how to slow their disease, reclaim their diet, move their body, or believe in their own power to change their path. They weren't lazy. They weren't careless. They were never given the right tools, the right education, or the right person in their corner early enough.
That is why I built My Kidney Hub.
After nearly two decades at the bedside, I know what dialysis costs a person not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and in the quiet losses of everyday life. I built this program because I refuse to watch that happen to one more person who could have been reached in time.
